It started by the ocean
LOBA Surfcamp started as an idea shaped by years of shared moments by the ocean — early surf sessions, long summer days, and the simple feeling of being exactly where we were meant to be. Over time, what began as a lifestyle naturally evolved into a project.
Building this was never just about surfing — it was about creating something that reflects the rhythm of life in Areia Branca, on Portugal's West Coast just over an hour from Lisbon. A place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and feel the balance between the countryside and the sea.

We're three friends who grew up on Areia Branca, a small beach town where the ocean shaped who we are. Surf, sun and good vibes have always been part of our lives — and LOBA is how we share that world with you.

Co-founderAs an aspiring pilot, I'm passionate about everything travel represents — from discovering new perspectives on life to tasting new foods. This project is the perfect way to share that passion, right where I grew up.
Francisco Costa
Co-founderBetween the countryside and the ocean, my life revolves around staying close to nature — long afternoons at the beach or working the fields as an agricultural engineer. LOBA is a reflection of our life in this beautiful place.
